Find answers to common questions below.
Where is my data stored?
All your data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Nothing is sent to external servers. Your data belongs to you and stays on your device.
How do I export or import data?
Go to Settings and use the Export function to save your data as a JSON file to any location you choose. To import, use the Import function and select a previously exported file. The app supports multiple export formats and will automatically detect the correct one.
Is my data synced to the cloud?
Currently, MySquad stores all data locally on your device. CloudKit sync across your Apple devices is planned for a future update. When available, sync will use Apple's encrypted CloudKit infrastructure.
Which platforms are supported?
MySquad is available for macOS and iOS. Both versions offer the full feature set, adapted to the respective platform.
How does biometric authentication work?
MySquad uses Touch ID on Mac and Face ID or Touch ID on iPhone to secure app access. Biometric data is processed entirely by Apple's operating system. The app itself never accesses or stores biometric data. You can enable or disable this feature in Settings.
How do I reset the app?
To start fresh, you can delete all data from within the app's Settings. On iOS, deleting and reinstalling the app will also remove all data. On macOS, you can also remove the app's data container.
Can I use MySquad on multiple devices?
You can install MySquad on multiple devices. Currently, each device maintains its own local data. Use the export and import feature to transfer data between devices. Automatic sync via CloudKit is planned for a future release.
